Academic Advising

The college’s four academic department directors are responsible for academic advisement of students in their respective subjects.  Directors’ hours are posted by their campus offices.

 

Auditing

Auditing a course is defined as: sitting in a class that has previously been taken for credit and passed, for the purpose of review and reinforcement.  Auditing is complimentary for all students, and is encouraged for students preparing for second year and/or national certification exams.

 

Computer labs

Computers with office software and  internet access are available in the second floor computer lab, as well as two other systems in the library.

 

Dean of Students

Students may discuss any issues with the Dean, who is able to assist with conflict resolution.  The Dean of Students is available by appointment.

 

Health Services

Discounted health services at the Austin Acupuncture Clinic are available for current students.  The fee schedule is as follows:

Acupuncture by student intern $5.00

Acupuncture by Lic. Ac. instructors $40.00

Herbal Consultation by Lic. Ac. instructors $5.00

Herbs in pill, granule, or raw form 15% off regular price

 

Library

Students are eligible to use the library and it’s resources after completing the library orientation.

 

Student Government

TCTCM encourages an active student government.  The current student government has open meetings each Wednesday at 12:30pm.

 

Tutoring

Upper-level students with a minimum of a 3.90 grade average are available to provide tutoring  in course subjects, research, and overall study habits.  Contact the Academic Dean to coordinate this service.  Current tutoring schedules are posted on campus each semester
