New Semester, New Beginnings
The Summer 2012 semester is under way! The TCTCM staff and faculty are thrilled to have our students back and to welcome our new faculty members: Dr. Gu, Dr. Suarez-Renaud and Dr. Tan. Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Gains 3 New Sister Schools!
Lisa and Paul Lin co-founders of our college returned from an extended trip to China. During this trip, they signed new sister school agreements with:
3-27-2012 – Transworld University
3-26-2012 Yuan Pei Technology University
3-23-2012 – McKay Medical, Nursing and Management College

TCTCM Welcomes Dr. Chen Zhou M.D., M.S. To Our Board Of Governors!
Dr. Chen Zhou was elected to the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Board of Governors at the first quarterly meeting for 2012. Dr. Zhou received a M.D. from the Peking Union Medical College in Beijing China in 1996. In 1997, Dr. Zhou came to the United States and went on to receive a M.S. in Computer Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology where she graduated with honors. She completed her medical residency in June of 2007, at the University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Residency Program with electives taken in cardiology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease and ambulatory care. Currently, Dr. Chen Zhou is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Friday, March 9th, 2012:
The first cohort of Dual Degree Candidates start their studies in China!
This morning the Dual Degree Candidates got on a plane from Austin heading to China and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University to begin their Dual Degree’s. The students were very excited to be going as well. Additionally, one of TCTCM’s alumni and adjunct faculty members also went on the trip to begin her doctoral program. As soon as the students are able to send us photo’s we’ll be posting them here. They should be back in two weeks.

Lisa Lin Scholarships for the Spring Semester Awarded!
Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine distributed the Lisa Lin Scholarships to the students who qualified. Congratulations to all of you!
